WhatCar? Car of the Year Awards 2022 Winners

One of the most important dates of the year for the motoring industry is the WhatCar? Car of the Year Awards. We’re proud to announce that all the Volkswagen Group brands which we represent at Pulman Group have won awards, let’s take a look below.

Volkswagen Touran – Best MPV

Volkswagen Touran

The Volkswagen Touran easily beat its rivals to be awarded the ‘Best MPV’ thanks to its generous space.

Large family and need to keep the kids entertained? The Volkswagen Touran has your back. All trims are seven-seaters with the five rear passenger seats all featuring Isofix points, perfect if you have a few children joining you on your trip. Plus, there’s multiple power points throughout the MPV, so if a tablet or phone is running low on charge on a long road trip, you needn’t worry about any groggy teenagers!

SKODA Superb Estate – Best Estate

SKODA Superb Estate

Winner of the ‘Best Estate’, the SKODA Superb Estate overtook its competition with flying colours.

If space at an affordable price tag is what you’re looking for, the SKODA Superb Estate is the model for you. You can add the optional folding front passenger seat meaning if all seats are folded, you have huge cargo space all the way from the tailgate to the front dashboard, ideal if you’re always on the road with work for events and exhibitions.

SEAT Leon – Best Family Car

For the second consecutive year, the SEAT Leon has won the title of ‘Best Family Car’ and it’s not hard to see why.

A good family car needs to be able to adapt easily to its surroundings and this is where the SEAT Leon has once again triumphed over its rivals. The Leon is not shy on space for all passengers with plenty of room for the rear passengers. Boot space in the SEAT Leon offers up to 380 litres (with seats up) thanks to its longer and deeper boot, perfect for all of the family luggage for holidays.

CUPRA Born – Best Small Electric Car

The perfect name for the new CUPRA, Born emphasises the introduction of the first fully electric model in the range from CUPRA.

The CUPRA Born beat off stiff competition to be awarded the ‘Best Small Electric Car’ of the year. It powered through with its offering of up to 263 miles* (WLTP) with the 58kWh battery, which places the new CUPRA Born among the higher achievers in its class.

Orders for the new CUPRA Born are now open at Pulman, with expected showroom models arriving in March 2022.
