Pulman Group are looking for an enthusiastic junior web developer to help maintain our website portfolio. Working within an in-house Marketing team, you will report to our Lead Web Developer. You’ll be responsible for administrating and maintaining the Pulman Group websites with front end web development projects. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to build their web development skills and progress their career.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Pulman Group websites are current and up-to-date with the latest offers, prices and imagery
  • Undertake regular website audits on site speed, size, errors and user interface performance
  • Collaborate with the development team to analyse, report or resolve usability issues
  • Recommend website optimisation and innovation changes
  • Manage user/group accounts and permissions
  • Produce website process and system documentation
  • Develop responsive landing pages and basic websites
  • Develop HTML marketing emails

Role development:

This role will provide the successful candidate a chance to learn and develop front end web skills. Learning to develop websites and front end user interface designs.


  • Proven experience in administering and managing websites
  • Experience in reporting suites such as Google Analytics
  • Understanding of UX and UI
  • Beginner front-end web development skills – HTML / CSS / JavaScript / JQuery
  • A strong knowledge of responsive design and the ability to build mobile-first websites
  • Knowledge of responsive frameworks
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility
  • Passionate about technology, willingness to learn and try new things showing initiative
  • Inter-personal skills with a flexible approach and an ability to adapt to circumstances
  • Ability to work within deadlines and to targets


  • Understanding of technical website mark-up (Scheme/rich snippets)
  • Understanding of basic SEO techniques
  • Knowledge of a JavaScript framework such as jQuery, Angular JS, Vue.js
  • Functional knowledge of API integration via AJAX calls
  • Knowledge of a MVC Framework such as Laravel
  • Experience with common front-end toolchains (Gulp, NPM)
  • Familiarity of a version control system such as GIT

To be considered you will be asked to provide a portfolio of web development that evidences your core skill set relating to HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. You’ll have the desired skills and knowledge but most importantly you'll have the motivation to develop your skills with us, we will provide the support and an environment for you to excel.
